Coaching Evolution Worldview

(Page Created 1/9/24 Update 5/10/26)

It is crucial to recognize that the coaching evolution movement of self-research for self-development begins with the Hylozoic worldview, the material spirituality of the Greek philosopher-scientist, Pythagoras, the most relevant hypothesis of reality known to human beings, which posits three basic and inseparable aspects of existence, reality, and life: matter, consciousness, and motion/energy; the necessary condition of life in all connections.

The Hylozoic World View

The Hylozoic worldview is an ancient natural philosophy that offers a unique understanding of reality, in which all matter is considered inherently alive and potentially conscious. As a working hypothesis, hylozoic knowledge of reality is a comprehensive system that transcends the traditional dichotomy between the animate and the inanimate.

At the heart of the Hylozoic worldview is a tripartite reality consisting of matter, consciousness, and motion/energy. These three aspects are inseparable and exist in all things, including human beings.

In this worldview, reality is not just the observable universe but extends to a network of 49 interconnected and interpenetrating atomic worlds. While ascending these worlds, each higher world is characterized by a decreasing density of primordial atoms, or monads.

Monads are the fundamental building blocks of existence; they are not merely energetic physical entities but are also imbued with evolving consciousness (potential, inactive, or activated) across all 49 worlds. Every human being, as an individual monad, has been working up a latent capacity to evolve, driven by one-pointed purposiveness to develop self-consciousness centered in ever-ascending worlds.

The Hylozoic worldview posits evolution ascending through six kingdoms within our solar system. Within which, human evolution is not linear but involves development across interconnected dimensions or envelopes (beings) over countless incarnate lifespans. As humans, we work through the lower three worlds (49-47) of our solar system (49-43), a small, yet not insignificant allocation of this massive 49-atomic world cosmos, thereby developing our self-consciousness.

In essence, the Hylozoic worldview presents a holistic interpretation of existence, in which every fragment of the whole, including humans, is part of an energetic, interconnected network of evolving consciousness. It's a worldview that sees reality not as a collection of separate entities but as a complex, interconnected network of evolving individuals (monads) to which we are integral.

Worldview and Life View Relationship

As portrayed above, knowing, understanding, and having a worldview is just the beginning; we exist, and yes, I get it. But what of life? What are we doing during our existence? That is what we need to start calling our life view. So there is a relationship, a worldview, and a life-view relationship.

  • World View: A comprehensive understanding of the objective energetic material reality, encompassing the physical and natural sciences and their extensions. It represents our total knowledge of the aspects of reality related to matter and motion, providing a rational and empirical basis for interpreting the universe and our place within it.
  • Life View: A conceptual framework for one's subjective consciousness, encompassing emotional and mental life. It pertains to personal experiences, emotions, thoughts, and aspirations, shaping how one perceives, interacts with, and navigates their existence within the broader worldview.

These definitions highlight the distinction between the objective, material understanding of the world (worldview) and the subjective, internal understanding of existence (lifeview), while also acknowledging their interdependence in forming a complete picture of reality.
